Brown fabric hardcover with title, publisher and date imprinted in black on cover and spine. Cover and spine have two black parallel lines at top and bottom. Aged off white paper with black ink. The text of 519 pages includes a table of contents, list of the many illustrations and charts, list of figures, few photographs, bibliography, and index. Subjects include information on extent and location of California oil deposits, cost of extraction and marketing and financial conditions governing the oil industry. Paper on inside cover (front and back) looks acid burnt but may just be a different paper grade. Book once owned by A. B. Perris and has his stamp as well as personal notations in ink on front cover pages. Overall condition is fair. Property of/ A.B. PERRIS
