Description

Color: Black; White A photograph envelope of Thomas W. Temple II from The Photo Shop in Alhambra, California, ca. 1922. The envelope's front has the information to fill out for the order, some of which is completed. The shop name, address, and phone number are at the bottom and there are stamped numbers "8141" at the upper left and "22" at the bottom right. On the reverse is an advertisement for the shop concerning its gifts. On the inside left is information about causes of failure in taking photographs, provided by Kodak, and on the right is a reminder to order more prints in case someone is forgotten. In Temple's handwriting on the front is the inscription "New House" and on the inside right panel its French equivalent "Maison Nouvelle," referring, it seems, to La Casa Nueva. With heavy darkening, creases, pin holes, and much edge wear, the overall condition is poor.
