Description

PICNIC GROUNDS, SAWPIT CANYON, MONROVIA. The postcard is in black and white with two men standing in a picnic area of Sawpit Canyon. Also visible is a posted sign on a tree trunk with the heading "NOTICE!" There are what appear to be packages set on top of a group of boulders and letters or initials written on the rock with "RVJ." At the far right, is a dried-up creek. On the reverse side is space for a message, an address and a postage stamp. The postcard was published by Newman Post Card Company in Los Angeles, California. It is in good condition despite the light abrasion damage to the corners, surface soiling, discoloration, pencil markings and stains.
