Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of the Pio Pico Memorial Walkway, looking to the east from the Glorieta, ca. 1980. The photographer stood at the top of the steps within the Glorieta, columns and the stair rail of which are in the foreground left and right, with the entirety of the cement and brick walk extending toward the El Campo Santo cemetery. To the right is the front of the Pio Pico Gallery and to the left the low rock wall and steps leading to the Water Tower, before the perimeter fence was installed. Newly planted Chinese elms border the walk and the lawn area is planted to the right. In the far background are parts of the perimeter parking lots and part of the empty field to the north of the walk, as well as the pond area. With little evidence of wear or damage, except for pin holes at the corners and some warping of the paper, the artifact is in otherwise good condition. Number-Units: 1
