Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of the PIo Pico Memorial Walkway grading looking west, 8 November 1976. The grading is seen in the center with markers posted in the dirt on the left and right sides. Grass surrounds the area and the foreground where a shadow, cast by a palm tree in the heart-shaped planter, is on the far right. A commercial building, concrete piping, and surveyor's markers are to the left background. On the center is the Water Tower's east wall, enclosed water tank area, and pavilion roof. Trees are to the right as is the east side of the Workman House. Only a section of the wall and pitched roof above the house appears. Stationed in front of the house is a trailer with two doors on the far ends, two windows in the center, and a window on the right. The trailer and historic area, which includes the Workman House and Water Tower, are enclosed by a chain-link fence. Two flat-bed trucks are to the far right parked on a dirt field. On the back bottom right is a stamp in black ink crediting Duane C. Alan with the photography and providing his business information. There are two identical images, with the same number, and in good condition. Number-Units: 1
