Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of the Pio Pico Walkway looking east, 7 September 1977. The walkway is featured in the center with brick in the middle and concrete along the sides. Long rows of trees line both sides of the path and light poles, with concrete bases attached to the walkway, line the left. In the back center is the heart-shaped planter, with one palm tree in the center, in front of the entrance to El Campo Santo Cemetery. On the far right is a dirt area where several wood stakes are located for the planting of sod; a few trees and a portion of the Homestead parking lot can also be seen. To the far left is the construction of the pond where a truck is parked near a dirt mound. The back bottom right corner has a label which credits Duane C. Alan as the photographer and provides his business information. Two identical images are in the collection and are in good condition. Number-Units: 1
