An implement box, holding game pieces for the board game "Pirate and Traveler," 1936, with a 1911 copyright for the original game. The artifact consists of a plain bottom with a pasted white-paper cover for part a) and the lid as part b), which has a red, white, and blue background. The game name, motto of "GREATEST OF ALL GAMES AMUSEMENT AND INSTRUCTION," title "Implement / Box," the company name and location, catalog number (?) and an image of a pirate ship plying the seas with a large sun next to it, are on the top of the lid. On the sides are blue and yellow circles and designs of a skull-and-crossbone at the center. Inside the box are items 2-7, consisting of the game wheel, four colored game pieces, and a set of fifty-five (55) cards. Aside from minor wear, generally at the edges, the box is in good condition.Lexicon
