Description

Color: Brown A color polaroid photograph of a plaster gnome recreated for the La Casa Nueva West Lawn, ca. 1979. Seen from the back, the piece has a blue stocking cap with brown trim; a yellow garment with brown collar with blue details and a belt. The gnomre has a long beard, as well. The original gnome figure was out at the north end of the lawn area when the Temples lived on the site and this was recreated to be put in the lawn. After a short time, however, exposure and the consequent damage necessitated its removal and the figure is now in the Workman House. Because the area around the figure is completely black, there are no other identifying features to the artifact, which is in good condition with little indication of wear or damage. Number-Units: 1
