Plate 38 from Baist's Real Estate Atlas Surveys of Los Angeles, Philadelphia, 1914. Half of the item is the title page for the publication, issued by G. W. Baist and assisted by two relatives, Wm E. and H. V. Baist. The other half consists of areas in and near the Farmers Market area of west Los Angeles, specifically the Windsor Heights, Wilshire Heights, Wilshire Square, North Windsor and Fremont Place tracts and the oil property of Ida Hancock Ross. Streets, lot numbers, undeveloped tracts and variations in color for the different properties. The item folds so that there are burgundy cloth boards enclosing the image and the plate number at the upper right corner of the front. With some stains, tears, creases, soiling and rubbing, the overall condition is good.Lexicon
