Description

Color: Black; Blue; Orange; White "Play Bridge Abroad" box top and bottom, 1928. The cover of the top (a) has an image of a European woman in a black, orange, and white dress waving toward a black and orange steamship sailing into the distance toward a white moon. The item title and information as to contents (tallies, score pads, and instructions) is at the top left, while the note that this was a "4 TABLE SET" is at the lower right. The company name is in small type, just below the woman. Three of the four sides have a continuation of the blue sky and trailing sea foam, but one side is a solid black. The bottom (b) is plain, without any ornamentation or features of note. The overall condition is poor, although the bottom has less damage and wear, mainly confined to abrasions, soiling, and scratches. The lid, however, has significant edge abrasions, losses to the upper left corner of the front, dented corners, soiling, pin holes at the top left, stains, and tears at the corners and edges,
