"Political Atlas for 1928: Presidential Campaigns, the Men and the Issues," (Chicago and New York: Rand Mc Nally and Company, Publishers, 1928), 16 pp. The artifact has a cardstock cover with the title divided by an image of the U. S. capitol in a woodblock-type style. A red stamp at the bottom indicates this was compliments of the company's Washington branch. On the inside front cover is statistical information on immigration. The inside of the back cover has financial information for the government. After the title page, which also has a red stamp concerning volume pricing for copies of the artifact, are: biographical statements with photographs of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates and the major parties' platforms; a listing of all presidents and their cabinets; electoral and popular votes for each election; articles of the Constitution concerning elections and congressional representation apportionment; the electoral vote by states from 1908 to 1924; a map of the results of the 1924 election; a summarized history of all administrations to Coolidge; tables of voters in each state; state governors, terms of office, and salaries; a list of senators whose terms expired in March 1929; and items on presidential succession, the election process, the Monroe Doctrine, and the text of the American's Creed. With cover creases, corner dents, soiling, and stample tarnish, and page browning and folded corners of the first few pages, the overall condition is good.Lexicon
