A stock certificate for the Pomona Oil Company, July 13, 1921. Along the far left side of the artifact are the certificate number and lines for the number of shares, for the name of the buyer, the date, and for the name of the person who is transferring shares. All of the latter spaces are written in with blue ink. At the right of the certificate is an ornate black border. Within the border at the top left is the stock number in red, and at the right corner is the number of shares written in blue ink. At the center is a black and white illustration of oil derricks. The name of the Pomona Oil Company is below the latter within a gray bar. The bar has an ornate gold border. At the center is "This Certifies that G R Wade is the owner of / One Hundred Shares of the Capital Stock of / Pomona Oil Company." The name of the owner and number of shares are handwritten with blue ink. At the bottom left is the gold seal of the company. The name of the company president is signed in blue ink at the bottom right. With brittleness of the paper; creases; folds; some discoloration; and scissors-cut tears, the artifact is in fair condition.
