Portrait of L. E. Myers, Sr.Entry/Object ID
2009.262.1.1Description
A portrait of L. E. Myers, Sr., by A. C. Golsh, Los Angeles, 1883. The image shows Myers in a full view standing in an elaborate woodland backdrop in the studio. On the reverse is the subject's name, the date of the photo, and his birth, marriage and death dates and place of birth. Myers, a native of Virginia who lived in Missouri for a time, was a wholesale grocer in Los Angeles for many years. With edge rubbing, soiling, abrasions on the reverse and a few creases, the overall condition is good.
