2007.222.1.1Description
A studio portrait, perhaps of members of the Comstock family of Puente, California, by Fred Hartsook, Los Angeles, ca. 1925. The image shows a husband and wife and two small children and the Hartsook logo is stamped on the lower right. The image is in a paper portfolio with an "H" on the front. There is a pencil inscription on the inside front cover that reads "Mrs. M. E. Comstock, / Puente, / Cal." This may, however, have been the recipient of the image rather than who is pictured. With stains, soiling, edge rubbing, edge tears, and other wear to the portfolio, but the photo is clean, so the condition is good.
