Postcard: A color postcard showing the business district of San Francisco with handwritten message on the back (a) and hand-addressed envelope (b) from Perry Worden to Walter P. Temple, Sr., postmarked 2 September 1927. The letter reported Worden's research at the Bancroft Library at the University of California, Berkeley regarding letters and material on Alcatraz Island. The postcard is in good condition with some discoloration and wear. The envelope is in fair condition with the opening tear, creases, and discoloration.
