Description

POSTCARD FROM PERRY WORDEN TO WALTER P. TEMPLE, SR., POSTMARKED 3 SEPTEMBER 1927. Postcard: A color postcard showing a restaurant at the harbor at Monterey with a handwritten message (a), business card (b), and envelope (c) from Perry Worden to Walter P. Temple, Sr., postmarked 3 September 1927. On the postcard, Worden wrote of his meeting a Workman whose family was from the same area of England as William Workman, but not evidently related, and who ran a cottage camp Worden stayed at near Monterey. Worden also related meeting a man from Taos, New Mexico, where Workman had lived. The business card was for Fred W. Workman, proprietor of the camp mentioned in the postcard. The condition of a and b) are good with a little discoloration and wear. The condition of the envelope is poor with the opening tear, stains, a few pest holes, and discoloration. From the Thomas Temple Collection, donated by Ruth Ann Michaelis. None
