Description

POSTCARD OF THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS Color: Black; Blue; Brown; White A postcard of the Los Angeles County fairgrounds in Pomona, 1926. The dual panel artifact has a blank side for a message and mailing address on one side. Running vertically on the left of this same side is the name of the manufacturer. On the other side is a description of the activities and exhibits at the fair. Below the description are the dates in which the event was held in that year. The color-tinted image inside is an aerial view of the grounds. At the center are many white-canopied tents topped with American flags. Beyond the tents is the race track. Many people walk throughout the areas. At the left is a crowded parking lot, while at the far right are several more automobiles parked in a grassy area. At the background are large green fields, orange groves, and rolling hills. Printed at the top left is "LOS ANGELES COUNTY FAIR, POMONA, CALIFORNIA." At the bottom right in red is "BY 'FRASHER'S' PHOTO." The artifact has only light abrasions and creases at the corners, some foxing, and small stains and it is therefore in good condition.
