Description

Potato ricer, ca. 1920s. The metal potato ricer consists of a wooden handle approximately 5 inches long, and a handle connected to the metal blade to rice potatoes. There are two metal clasps attached along side the pot, most likely used to attach the ricer to an edge for stability purposes while using the kitchen device. Engraved on the blade is "TO CLEAN - REMOVE THUMB SCREW - LIFT OUT MASHER - FOLEY FOOD MILL - FOLEY MFG. CO. MPLS., MINN. PAT. 1921936. It is in good condition despite visible scratches, moderate surface soiling, dark stains throughout.
