Press photo, Eleanor Durkin, customs guard demonstrating cane flask, Los Angeles, 3 February 1927. Durkin in dark dress with fur fringes at collar and hem line with cloche hat, sitting on chair holding a walking stick with one hand and pulling out the glass encasement from the inside, containing up to a quart of liquor. Woman identified as Eleanor Durkin, demonstrating a trick to get around Prohibition laws. The typed description on reverse. In good condition with minor surface soiling and discoloration.
