Description
Press photo, Elephant and monkey at Selig Zoo, Los Angeles, 8 September 1926. The Underwood and Underwood image shows a Siamese monkey, with a belt and chain on its body, on a pipe fence and an elephant in the enclosure next to buildings lifting its left front leg, apparently in fear of the monkey. A pasted-down caption and stamp are on the reverse. With bowing, edge rubbing, browning and light soiling, the condition is good.
