Press photo, Newspaper sellers, Los Angeles, 1 September 1926. Three men identified as Harry Smith, Manuel Goodman, and Sam Steinberg are seated in front of a street side news stand holding a newspaper, San Diego Herald, 29 July 1926. The men are accused of selling accusatory story against Aimee Semple McPherson's kidnapping, written by Abraham R. Sauer, who faced charges for these obscenities. Headline: "Those women of the days of Helen of Troy differed little from Aimee and her kind." Typed description on reverse. In good condition, minor creases, discoloratioin, warping, accretion to photo surface at top edge, and adhesive residue on reverse.
