Description
PRINCE'S HEAD AND CAT HEAD BEAM REPRODUCTIONS READY FOR RESETTING
Color: Brown
A color polaroid photograph of the replicated carvings of Prince's head and the cat's head for the La Casa Nueva courtyard balcony, 28 February 1979. The four items, including the two dark brown painted items to be remounted and two more replicas of the cat figure, unpainted and with larger blcoks of wood, are sitting on the west edge of the fountain in the courtyard. Prince's head is half of the head to correspond to the top half of the beam, because the bottom half of the head was attached to the bottom half of the beam, presumably installed by this time. Some of the east side of the courtyard is visible in the background, though not very clearly and part of the southern edge and a sliver of the lower millstone from the fountain are more clearly in the foreground. An inscription in green ink at the bottom of the object reads "Animal Heads & Parts Ready / For Attaching To Ends Of / Projecting Timbers 2/28/79." With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition.
