Description
PRINCE'S HEAD BEAM RESETTING AT LA CASA NUEVA COURTYARD BALCONY
Color: Brown
A color polaroid photograph of the resetting of the carving of Prince's head at the La Casa Nueva courtyard balcony, 28 February 1979. The photographer stood on a scaffolding, the floor and rail of which are visible at the lower center. The beam is at the upper left and center with the replicated head attached to the beam. What is missing is another piece of wood to constitute the upper part of the beam. In the background is part of the east portico, the tile roof above it, and the lower section of the upper wing, as well as, at left, part of the arch wall and the balcony rail. An inscription in green ink at the bottom of the object reads "Dogs head. Repaired & in / Place, Recessed Area To Receive / New Carved Piece 2/28/79." In good condition, the artifact shows little indication of wear or damage.
