Description

A probable demonstration kitchen with two ovens, Los Angeles, ca. 1915. The view shows a nearly bare kitchen, except for a large stove, the "Eriez" and a small portable "Duplex Fireless Stove" next to it against the opposite wall. There is a dining chair, a few items on the counter, and a teapot on the Eriez stove, as well. In the well under the sink, newspaper is laid on the floor and, under magnification, a Los Angeles origin is detected and an article headline mentioning the British fight against von Hindenburg gives the estimated date and the location. On the reverse is residue from black album mounting paper and a pencil inscription with the number "H26" and another giving the name of the stove companies and their locations. Aside from light soiling and edge rubbing, the photo is in good condition.
