Description

PROOF SHEET WITH IMAGES OF EL CAMPO SANTO CEMETERY Color: Black and white A proof sheet with 35 exposures taken 10 October 1989 of El Campo Santo cemetery and St. Nicholas chapel. Twelve of the images are various views of one image of St. Nicholas chapel, ca. 1860., including inscriptions on the reverse providing information about the structure. The other images are from the 1907 lawsuit of Temple vs. Lewis, documenting the destruction of the cemetery by the owner, L. F. Lewis. On the reverse of some of the images are inscriptions for the use of the photos as evidence in the case. Red circles around six of the images show images to be printed. Items 3.1 and 3.2 were reproduced from negatives, but, because of bad lighting, the others were not printed. Being a new image, the sheet is in mint condition.
