Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of the proposed hospital site looking east, 3 February 1977. The site is a dirt lot across the bottom half of the image with tire tracks and mounds of dirt in the foreground. In the center right is a grader, a raised tank, and an outhouse between two automobiles. A fenced-in area enclosing a tool shed, boxes, wood, and debris extends from the center to the right. On the far right is a truck with boxes in its bed. Commercial buildings and a row of tall trees is in the left background, while to the center right, with several automobiles parked in front, is El Campo Santo cemetery. The neo-Classical mausoleum's sloping cornice and four columns are visible as well as the obelisk of John Rowland's tomb. In front is a tall palm tree and to the far right the San Jose Creek overpass, which is Hacienda Boulevard; automobiles; trees; commercial buildings; and hills. A label on the back bottom right corner credits Duane C. Alan as the photographer and provides his business information. Two identical images are included and are in good condition.
