Description

Color: Brown A color polaroid photograph of a proposed reproduced wood door for La Casa Nueva, ca. March 1979. The closeup shows the door largely completed, except the bottom two of eight panels have not been installed and the glass in the octagonal windows at the top not put in. The door rests on unidentified supports on the floor of what appears to be the dining room with the arch to the living room probably at the upper right. Item .849 showed work being done in the dining room, so it is assumed this was also in that location. Because there are no doors in the house that have two octagonal panes of glass--only a door betwen the Butler's Pantry and Kitchen that has one pane, it is assumed this was a proposed door that was, for some reason, rejected. With no indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
