Description

PUBLIC LIBRARY, ALHAMBRA, CALIFORNIA. The black and white postcard shows the Public Library in the city of Alhambra. The building shows features of a Neoclassical Revival design with columns, cornice, balustrade, rectangular windows. In front of the building are hedges and a well-manicured lawn, with portions of two trees at the far left and right. The reverse side has space for a correspondence and an address. It was published by Central drug Company in Alhambra, California. There is another post card company printed called The Albertype Company in Brooklyn, N.Y. The postcard is in good condition despite the abrasion damage along the corners, light surface soiling, discoloration, pencil markings and light stains overall.
