A colored photographic postcard of the public school in Pasadena, California, ca. 1916. The Mission Revival-style structure features two towers with domed roofs and columned entrances. There appear to be four wings with gabled and red-tiled roofs. The windows are both arched and squared. An American flag on a pole sits in front of the entrance on a wide dirt area. Some small trees in a grassy area are at far left. A number 709 at the lower right corner indicates a photographer's print number. The card, written by someone named Ed, is dated 6 February 1916 from El Paso, Texas, and addressed to Mrs. E. J. Nolan of Highland Park, Ill. Tichnor Bros. Inc. of Boston and Los Angeles is the manufacturer. The card was purchased from HM volunteer Bill Stone and is in fair condition with corner and edge abrasions and dents, several creases on the front right and back left, tears on the front upper right and discoloration. The message in pencil reads: "Feb 6 El Paso Tex/Arrived here 2:30; PM. Stop over/here untill to-/morrow./Ed."
