B. Walters, Printers for numbers two and three in 1909. The green clothbound volume with speckled paper has gold printing on the spine with the organization name and publication years. The two complete publications, the first of which was also identified as a joint work with the Pioneers of Los Angeles County, are bound inside, including the original wrappers. At the beginning is a complete list of contents for the volume. Number one has 94 pages with Historical Society papers including an officers list and seven articles. Pioneer Society papers include two years' listings of officers and committees, the constitution, the by-laws, officers' reports, two articles, and twelve biographical sketches of recently deceased members. Numbers two and three, combined into one issue, consist of 119 pages and are only of Historical Society material and consist of an officers list and nineteen articles. At the inside front cover of the volume is the ex-libris label of a former owner. With little evidence of use and, therefore, of wear, the artifact is in good condition.
