The green clothbound book with speckled paper has gold printing on the spine including the organization name and publication year. The publications are bound inside, including the original wrappers, and are page-numbered consecutively. Number one (March 1935) consists of 30 pages, and includes an editor's note, five articles, and a list of Society meetings for the first three months of the year. Number two (June 1935) consists of 43 pages, and is part one of an article on an overland route to southern California. A fold-out map is included at the beginning along with an explanatory note about the article. Number three (September 1935) consists of 37 pages and concludes this article and includes four others, as well as a list of meeting from April through September. These include a presentation by Boyle Workman on his book, "The City That Grew" in April and a fifth annual landmarks pilgrimage, including a visit to the "William Workman Homestead," with a talk on "The Rancho and Its People" by Thomas W. Temple II, who was also on the publications committee. Number four (December 1935) consists of 28 pages, and includes four articles and an editorial note. There are two fold-out maps and, for the first time, many illustrations, including photos. At the end is a list of the Society's meetings for the final three months of the year. On the inside front cover is the ex-libris label of a former owner. With little evidence of use and, therefore, of wear, the artifact is in good condition.
