Description
Racecars on the eastern turn during an Ascot Speedway race, Los Angeles, 10 April 1921. The photographer shoots over the heads of some spectators toward the eastern turn, where there are seven or eight cars just into the turn. Some photographers stand or crouch at lower left on the outer guardrail and there are spectators on the infield and what appear to be crew at the inner guardrail. Some flags are atop the guardrail at right and stands of trees are in the distance. At the lower left margin is the ink inscription, "April 10, 1921." With some soiling, a few reverse stains, some yelllowing, and slight paper curvature, the overall condition is good.
