Description
Racecars on the turn during a race at Ascot Speedway, Los Angeles, 10 April 1921. The photographer stood on the bottom of the grandstand and there are several photographers on the outer guardrail. Spectators are throng the infield and there may be crew members inside the inner guardrail. On the turn are about eight cars heading to the opposite straightaway. In the distance are stands of trees and portions of mountains. The lower left margin has the ink inscription, "Sun. April 10, 1921. Los Angeles Speedway." There is a liquid stain at the upper left, an acid burn at the reverse bottom and some paper curvature, so the condition is fair overall.
