A catalog, "Radford Price Bulletin," issued by The Radford Company, 1927. The 115-page artifact has, on both covers, a gray, black and orange drawing of a tree casting its shadow in the foreground, while a split-rail fence and other trees are in the background. Superimposed over the drawing is a shield-like panel with the catalog title and issue date of 1 August 1927 within. At the bottom is a rectangular-shaped panel with the company name and place of business in it. On the inside front cover is an advertisement concerning shipping cartons for company products. The title page is followed by statements on conditions of sale, a description for the company with drawings of four company plants. There is further information on bundling of items and on windows, before products are listed. Among these are windows; shutters; screens; doors of all kinds; furniture, such as cupboards, cabinets, breakfast tables; stairs and stair details; door jambs; mouldings; porch pieces; and window and door frames. There are many drawings, a few in color, of these products with occasional sections on the care of woodwork and descriptions of the company's quality work. At the back are a numerical and a topical index. Though there are some creases and edge wear to the covers, the pages show little indication of wear or damage and the artifact is in good condition.Lexicon
