Thread Book: A silk thread book, called Milady's Service Kit, manufactured by Real Silk Hosiery Mills, Inc. The cover is green with what appears to be tree limbs and two hanging urns or vases. The company seal is in gold at lower center with the maker's name at the bottom. There is a lengthy description of the kit on the inside. Two rolls of thread, one of a pink and gray color and the other of gray and gold, are wrapped around a card that serves as a flap for the cover. There is information on use and a description on this card. The thread is in good condition. The package is in fair condition with edge wear. Donated by George Wheatley. Inside package begins with, "Milady's/Service Kit/A Stitch in Time saves Nine". . . On the outside reverse bottom, "COMPLIMENTS BY/REAL SILK HOSIERY MILLS INC./INDIANAPOLIS, IND. U. S. A."
