Description

RECEIPTS TO WALTER P. TEMPLE FROM KAUFFMAN MERCANTILE COMPANY AND MILTON KAUFFMAN, 1910-1911 Color: Black; White Twenty-six (26) checks and other documents of Walter and Laura Temple, 1910-11. Most of these are checks for an account with the Kauffman Mercantile Company of El Monte, or to Milton Kauffman and the date range is 5 August 1910 to 31 March 1911. There is also a receipt that seems to serve as a check on account with either the Kauffman firm or Milton Kauffman, made out for a sum to Laura Temple. The last document is a deposit slip of the First National Bank of El Monte, but the slip is blank. It is on the back that there are a series of financial figures that seem to show a credit and a series of debits between April and August, probably in 1910. In general, the condition of these documents is fair, with some having tears at the top, creases, ink stains, dented corners, and general wear.
