RECITAL CARD, ST. MARY'S ACADEMY, 16 DECEMBER 1920
A recital card for an organ recital at St. Mary's Academy, Los Angeles, 16 December 1920. The card is printed on a fine paper and has the school name and location at the top, followed by a poem by a Father Faber. The program listing includes the blessing by Bishop J. J. Cantwell of an organ donated by Agnes Temple, who stood as sponsor for the event and was a student at the academy. The recital, by Dr. Ray Hastings, included works by Handel, Bach, Schubert, and Hastings' own composition. Cantwell presented a sermon, with a benediction concluding the event. Another copy of this card is 97.58.10.4. In good condition, the card has a crease at the lower left and upper right corners and light discoloration on the edges.
