Description

REMOVED LATH AT THE LOWER PART OF A WALL, PERHAPS LCN BUTLER'S PANTRY Color: Brown A color polaroid photograph of part of a wall dismantled showing broken lath and wall studs, possibly in the La Casa Nueva Butler's Pantry, ca. 1978. The wall was plastered a white or off-white color, but this was removed for an unknown reason and the lath removed (see remnant on stud to the left) revealing the cavity between wall studs. There is some white material at the back of the wall at the bottom, possibly a bee's hive, which may explain the removal of the wall and the photograph. At the bottom left is a little portion of what seems to be linoleum. Image .988 seems to show the same area in what may be the Butler's Pantry in its as-found condition before conversion from a convalescent home-era bathroom to the restoration of a pantry. With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
