Description

REPAIR TO WALKWAY NEAR NORTH END OF THE MISSION WALKWAY Color: Brown A color polaroid photograph of repair work on the walkway near the north end of the Mission Walkway, 17 September 1979. The photographer stands looking to the west toward the Mission Walkway. Just below center is an area where seven or eight pavers have been removed and new mortar poured and drying. There are also other areas where the mortar is loose and pavers are cracked. Because of the poor, blurry quality of the photograph, details of the walk are difficult to discern. At the right is part of the planting area to the north of the walk. At the top, but heavily shadowed, is the entrance to the Mission Walkway. At the bottom of the object in pencil is the inscription "New Pavers Curb Front / Walk / 9/17/79." This area, however, is very clearly the west lawn near the Mission Walkway and not the front of the house. With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition.
