Description

REPAIR TO WALKWAY NEAR NORTH END OF THE MISSION WALKWAY Color: Brown A color polaroid photograph of repair work on the walkway near the north end of the Mission Walkway, 20 September 1979. The photographer stands looking to the west toward the Mission Walkway. At left is a large drum container; a wheelbarrow handle; and a hose, which extends across the bottom of the photograph. A section of pavers at the upper right portion have been removed, the mortar repoured and dried, and the pavers replaced. There may also be an area in the foreground where some work was done. To the right is part of the planting to the north of the walk. At the top, but heavily shadowed, is the entrance to the Mission Walkway, though one of the arbor support columns, with a piece of red tile next to it, is at the upper center. At the bottom of the object in pencil is the inscription "Front Pavers Being / Prepared For Rework / 9/20." This area, however, is very clearly the west lawn near the Mission Walkway and not the front of the house and it appears that this was taken after work was done. With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
