Description

REPAIR TO WALKWAY NEAR NORTH END OF THE MISSION WALKWAY Color: Brown A color polaroid photograph of repair work on the walkway near the north end of the Mission Walkway, 7 September 1979. The photographer stands looking to the northwest toward the Mission Walkway. Just right of center is a small area where a couple of pavers have been removed in preparation for the repouring of mortar. There are also other areas where the mortar is loose and pavers are cracked. At left is a part of an area where a paver has been removed. At the upper right is a section of the planter and one of the support columns for the grape arbor to the north of the walk. At the top, but heavily shadowed, is the entrance to the Mission Walkway. At the bottom of the object in pencil is the inscription "Front Walk Section To be / Repaired. 9/7/79." This area, however, is very clearly the west lawn near the Mission Walkway and not the front of the house. With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition.
