REPLICATED LA CASA NUEVA BASEMENT DOOR PANELEntry/Object ID
99.5.33.875Description
Color: Brown
A color polaroid photograph of the replicated La Casa Nueva basement door panel, ca. 1979. The bare, unpainted wood panel is composed of rows of small squares five in number across. There is no hardware on the door, which reclines against a wall, probably in one of the rooms of the house. To the right is a brown and yellow painted round frame, which appears to be for a door. Next to this, plugged into a socket without a plate, is an extension cord. At upper right, with wires extended out from it, is a hole in the wall, possibly for a light sconce. There are some other unidentifiable elements at left and right, possibly for restoration work. With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition.
