REPLICATED WOOD CARVINGS FOR LA CASA NUEVA DOORS
Color: Brown
A color polaroid photograph of replicated wood carvings for La Casa Nueva doors, 30 January 1979. The items are on a work table and include two rectangular panels lying flat on the table, both completely carved, but the one in front unpainted, while the one in the back is painted dark brown. The design in both consists of floral or vine designs around a vase at the center. This was used both in the doors to the Music Room from the Main Hall and to the Library from the Main Hall. At upper left in the background is a smaller square panel used on the inside of the doors to the Dining Room from the Main Hall. At background center and right are a variety of chisels leaning against the back of the table. At the bottom of the image is an inscription in blue ink reading "Large carving Complete - For / Library Round Head doors. 1/30/79." With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition.
