"Residence of F.J. Stutesman / 764 So. Hobart Blvd. L.A. Calif.," ca. 1920. The image is an architectural rendering of a large two-story Spanish Colonial Revival house with a covered entrance on a corner lot at Hobart and Eighth streets near Western Avenue. The drawing shows an expansive lawn, front and side walks to the house, and palm trees on the street-side median. The title is at the lower right. Written in ink at the top left is "Jean''s Home in Los Angeles Cal." On the reverse in pencil is "'Stutesman's Folly' / Built in 1920." Frank J. Stutesman was a Chicago businessman who later lived in a more modest home at 5th Avenue west of Western in 1930 and then in downtown Los Angeles during the early 1930s. Jean McGready married Stutesman in Chicago in 1896. With album paper residue on the reverse, stains and soiling, the overall condition is good.
