"Residence of Mrs. Longstreet, Los Angeles," March 1890. The amateur photograph, taken on a Kodak #2 camera and dated from a photo album inscription, shows the large home on a corner lot with a sidewalk from the corner to the front, lawns and extensive landscaping. A sidewalk leads off to the far right. At the far left is the side of an adjacent residence. There was a Lucy S. E. Longstreet, a widow, with three sons and servants, living on Adams Street in the 1880 census, so this could be the person. The caption is in ink at the bottom. Other than rippling of the paper, and some soiling, the overall condition is good.Lexicon
