Description
"Residences, Lasalle Avenue, Los Angeles, California," Howard C. Tibbits, ca. 1910s. The view is taken from an intersection and looks down one side of La Salle, showing a row of large wood-frame houses with raised lots, rock frontage walls and lawns. The houses are two stories and the first few have porches at the front entrances. The sidewalk is wide and flanked on the street side by a median with grass and trees. The title is written in ink at the bottom of a linen matte, on which the photo is pasted. A stamped number is at the top right, while a crossed out number and one written next to it in pencil are at the bottom right. With minor soiling, warping on the linen as well as thread unraveling along the edges , the condition is good to fair.
