LANTERN SLIDE, RESIDENTIAL AREA, LOS ANGELES, ca. 1910s. Taken from a sidewalk on one side of an unidentified street and area of the city, the focused view shows parts of several homes and lush landscaping, includes lawns, bushes and shrubs, and trees. On the mount is information that the slide was issued by the Passenger Department of the Southern Pacific Company. A typed slip that appears to be text designed to be read with the slide is item .4 of the accession. Other than mild wear to the paper mount, the condition is good.
