Description

RESTORATION OF ORIGINAL WEST WALL, EL CAMPO SANTO Color: Blue; Red A color polaroid photograph of the restoration of the original west wall of El Campo Santo, ca. August 1977. Taken from inside the cemetery and looking to the west, the image shows part of the north end of the wall, including the entrance pillar at center and right. In the foregound is a blue-metal stand with a wood board top, on which are bricks, stacked and mortared. The caption, seemingly indicating, the "recipe" for the mortar used to bond the bricks reads "NO 1 / 1/2 W.CEMENT / 1/2 R.CEMENT / 20 SAND / 4 LIME / OKAY." With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
