Description
Robert Irving White seated on the trunk of a sedan, Los Angeles, 1927. The photographer stood on a sidewalk behind the car, which is parked on the side of a residential street. The boy, dressed in a sailor's suit and cap, is seated on the lid of the trunk The car has 1927 plates and the spare tire cover has a screened logo from a tire shop on South Vermont Avenue, so the location is likely South Los Angeles. An ink inscription on the reverse reads: "Robert Irving White / Bobbie / 4 yrs, 3 months." With warping and minor edge rubbing, the condition is good.
