Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of Rose Achain Temple sitting on a stone wall near what appears to be hotel, ca. 1932. Mrs. Temple (though it is not known of she was yet married to Edgar Temple) wears light-colored clothing, including a short-sleeved blouse, calf-length skirt, a cap that covers the back of the head, and shes. She also has on white gloves and dark-colored hosiery. The wall is about two feet high and forms the boundary of a planter, with some of the landscaping behind it. A large lawn separates the planter from the hotel, if such it is, which has a two story section with dormers, large arched antries and people milling in front near an umbrella and stand. To the background left is a taller portion of the structure. There are a few cars parked near the building and near one of these is a large obelisk-shaped cactus. On the reverse, in pencil, is a cross-shaped mark and the number "70," both at the lower center. At the lower left corner is the stamped number "80." There is some water damage, especially at the top left corner, so the object is in fair condition. Number-Units: 1
